French Bulldogs

The French Bulldog is an energetic, muscular little dog with a affectionate and dependable nature.  Defined by the characteristic BAT ears and FROG smile, they are known as frog dogs among those that adore the breed.  The Frenchie is the one good thing we Americans got from FRANCE (along with the Statue of Liberty)!  This is the small Bulldog, with the face we flat faced dog lovers adore, and the more manageable size. It would seem somewhat natural that as a Boston Terrier breeder I would gravitate to this breed also, but I have only been at Frenchies for 7 years... My wonderful friend Miriam Koch Hinkley (who is now 90 and retired) was my mentor in Bostons and she raised some of the best Frenchies in the States. She always wanted me to raise the French also and when she retired she GAVE me her last great female ( an unbelievably well pedigreed dog) and said "Now you will HAVE to raise them won't you?  Miriam always found a way to get what she wanted!  We have had our trials and tribulations with the breed, and we have all learned a WORLD about breeding a dog that is not always easy to get into this world, but we are VERY proud of the breeding program we now have.  We again like the Bostons, have dogs that are worthy of the show ring and dogs that will simply make EXCELLENT family pets.  The greatest of care has been taken to ensure that OUR line of French Bulldogs have HEALTH and disposition as the main objective. Good looking ones dont hurt either!
